Finance & Information Technology Transformation

Core Competencies

We are a Business Technology consulting firm that focuses on improving business results through a deep understanding of people, processes and how information technology can provide superior operating outcomes.Outlined below are the details around our core compencies.

Program/Project Management

Project management is a combination of techniques, procedures, people, and systems focused on the successful completion of a project. It is also a discipline that will support the planning, implementation, tracking, and control of projects. A project is a unique venture with specific start and end dates. Projects are run by people and often involve different parts of an organization. Constraints on project include cost, schedule, resources, and quality. There's a give and taken between these items i.e. you can't have it all.Large, complex efforts that combine the delivery of software elements, new and changed business models, and overall changes to organizational structure and capabilities characterize ERP.

Business Solution Architecture

The development of Solution Architectures provides the vehicle to coordinate and direct the many activities of stakeholders. Process, data, and system business owners are managed within frameworks called methodologies which direct, monitor and control project lifecycle tasks and deliverables. In Finance, solutions may range from rationalizing the cash conversion cycle, shorten close cycles, improve cycle times of expense reimbursement and payments to better reporting and business intelligence information management. For IT, enterprise architecture which defines the vision, principles, standards and roadmap that guide the selection, deployment, operation, and refreshment of technologies within an organization; portfolio optimization which helps identify and select the “best” IT investments; and systems selection such as which finance systems platform support work more timely information and reduce costs and improve effectiveness.

Shared Services Design/Implementation

More and more companies adopt the shared services model as a leading practice. Shared services, a model that consolidates support operations into a service-oriented organizational unit, can substantially improve back-office efficiencies by eliminating duplication and streamlining processes. We leverage multifunctional capabilities to address a comprehensive range of issues in clients’ current or planned shared services organization.

Merger Integration

The process of combining two or more organizations into a single organization involves several organizational systems, such as people, process and technology. The ability to successfully integrate acquired companies is generally ranked as the single most important factor influencing acquisition success. Merger integration is tough, and it takes the right approach to successfully tackle the challenges. Some key guidelines are to focus firepower on the base business, make tough decisions early, and integrate where it creates the greatest efficiencies.

Order To Cash

Order-to-Cash (OTC) enables Global 1000 corporations to measurably improve and manage their OTC cycle from start to finish. We lead our clients to success from any starting point, whether they require a full solution or start with a subset of processes, business units or locations. Our emphasis on your process is the cornerstone of our approach. Our services and solutions integrate and manage the processes that you face, including order management, credit management, billing, collections management, dispute/deduction management, cash applications and financial reporting and analysis.  This results in a scalable, sustainable OTC infrastructure and significant improvement in operating costs and working capital.

Purchase To Pay

Emphasis on the buyer-supplier relationship is the cornerstone of our Purchase to Pay (PTP) client value creation methodology. We optimize performance across people, process, and technology - resulting in a scalable, sustainable PTP infrastructure, and significant improvement in operating costs and working capital. Our services and solutions integrate and manage supplier-facing processes including supplier maintenance, supplier network management, invoice receipt, pre-process validation, invoice processing, exception resolution, query responses, reporting and payment processing.

Record To Report

Companies have been faced with increasing challenges in Record-to-Report (sometimes called Account to Report) processes. Over the past two decades the arrival of fully-integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle and SAP, the race for faster consolidated reporting to the investment community, and new regulatory requirements, i.e. Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) have placed very high demands on  organizations’ ability to capture, validate, and correct general ledger information. Accounting policies, procedures and standardized chart of accounts, general ledger functions and journal entry processing, inter-company accounting and account reconciliations, fixed assets and project, cost and inventory accounting and the monthly close process including financial consolidations are some of the value levers to achieve successful Reporting and Control.

Treasury/Banking

We focus on the tactical part of Treasury and Banking: cash flow, receipt processing, speeding up the cash conversion cycle and increasing working capital, whether from Inventory, AR or AP processing. End to end process improvement is the key to maximizing balance sheet assets.

(ERP) Oracle E Business Suite

Oracle E Business Suite is a group of modules, designed with the intention of processing transactions in an integrated fashion typically General Ledger, Purchasing, AR/Billing/Cash, etc. Interfaces and customizations which are connections to Legacy applications and platforms require special configurations and programming to fully harness the power of the Oracle platforms.

Systems Integration: Legacy Softwares

Implementation

The Implementation Plan describes how the information system will be deployed, installed and transitioned into an operational system.  The plan contains an overview of the system, a brief description of the major tasks involved in the implementation, the overall resources needed to support the implementation effort (such as hardware, software. facilities, materials, and personnel), and any site-specific implementation requirements.

The design, development and implementation of custom or off the shelf applications to meet business needs. The most common applications are ERP based such as SAP, Oracle, JDE or PeopleSoft that allow decommissioning of Legacy applications and the installation of more uniform cost effective modules that are more efficient.

Process Design

Activities involved in determining the workflows and implementation requirements for financial and business processes typically depicted as Level 2 Process Flows.

Functional Design

A level of the design process in which subtasks are specified and the relationships among them defined, so that the total collection of subsystems performs the entire task of the system. The aspect of system design concerned with the system's objectives and functions, rather than its specific components.
